On Saturday, I travelled to Zwolle to join the first edition of Yukata Walk! 💖
Organised by kimonoinzwolle in collab with netherlandskimono , robinceuleers , japansemaru , azusally & mikatanaka_nl.
Whilst the other participants selected a yukata to wear from the ones Toriko of Hallelujah Kimono/Netherlands Kimono brought, I inquired if I could wear my own. I have several beautiful yukata in my collection that I love to wear.
For this event I opted to wear my favourite arimatsu shibori yukata with this cute windmill nagoya obi.
We met up at Maru in Zwolle, a small shop that sells many different Japanese foods & snacks. We tried some delicious hanami dango and later on freshly made onigiri 🥰
Even though there were just a few of us, we had an amazing time chatting, walking around the historic city center of Zwolle and enjoying the atmosphere. Since the other participants didn`t have a lot of kimono experience yet, lots of knowledge was exchanged, even I got to learn new things thanks to Toriko! 🥰
During our time in Zwolle, two photographers took our pictures. I hope to receive them in about a week. Really curious as to how they turn out!

They do plan on holding more of these style of events in the future, I`m looking forward to go back to Zwolle again ^^
