Tsuzureya Nihombashi

Founded in 1932, Tsuzureya is a long-established kimono salon located on the first floor of Nihombashi Mitsukoshi’s new building. Its show windows display exquisite kimono with graceful classical motifs, captivating passersby and sharing the enduring beauty of tradition. Committed to passing down the artistry of kimono and obi—treasures born of Japan’s natural surroundings and seasonal culture—the salon offers a distinguished selection of Homongi, elegant komon, and custom-dyed masterpieces. On the second floor, the Furisode Salon houses more than 80 pieces at any given time. These furisode, regarded as the pinnacle of classical kimono, embody patterns cherished across generations and the mastery of skilled artisans. Their radiance is balanced with refined elegance, making them perfect not only for coming-of-age ceremonies but also for weddings, receptions, and formal gatherings.
